Users

The Users section of the Signchain Dashboard allows administrators and managers to manage all users associated with your account. Here, you can add and remove users, assign roles, and manage specific user details like wallet addresses, names, and email addresses.

Managing Users

You can view a list of all users on your account, each with the following details:

  • User Address: The wallet address associated with each user. Users log in through Sign in with Ethereum, allowing a secure and decentralized authentication.
  • Name: Optional configured name associated with the user for easier identification.
  • Email: Used only for notification and identification purposes within your account.

Adding a User

To add a new user:

  1. Go to the Add User section.
  2. Enter the wallet address of the user and assign a role (Admin, Manager, Developer, Billing, or Read-Only).
  3. Optionally, set a name and email for identification purposes.
  4. Click Add User to complete the process.

Removing a User

Only Admins and Managers can remove users from the account. To remove a user:

  1. Select the user from the list.
  2. Click Remove User.
  3. Confirm the removal action. (Note: You cannot remove yourself; request another Admin to do so if necessary.)

User Roles and Access Control

Each user on your account can be assigned a specific role, which determines their access level within the Dashboard:

  • Admin: Full access to all features, including user and billing management.
  • Manager: Permissions to manage other users, roles, and access control but with limited billing access.
  • Developer: Access to developer-related tools, such as API usage and integrations, without access to sensitive billing or subscription features.
  • Billing: Access limited to viewing and managing billing information, but restricted from other sections.
  • Read-Only: Can view information across the Dashboard without making changes.

Managers can also set roles for non-admin users, providing flexible access for each team member.

Quick Tips

  • Role Adjustments: Roles can be changed as your team’s responsibilities evolve. Simply select the user and update their role as needed.
  • Security First: Only assign high-privilege roles (Admin and Manager) to trusted team members, as these roles have access to sensitive features.
  • Wallet Address Identification: Since users are authenticated via wallet addresses, ensure addresses are recorded correctly.

For more details on managing account security, refer to the Access Control documentation.

Using the Users section, you can efficiently manage your team, assign appropriate permissions, and ensure that each user has the access they need to work with Signchain effectively.
